David has more than 35 years of experience in investment banking, investment advisory, private equity, and operating management. Prior to forming Techas, David was with CBRE Capital Markets leading a team providing strategic advisory services to the firm’s top global investor clients. Previously, he was the President of Creekside Capital, a boutique investment advisory and private equity firm principally involved in the healthcare, software and real assets industries. Additionally, he was the CEO of Green Mountain Energy, a clean energy leader in the deregulation of the power industry, and a founder of Einstein Bros. Bagels. David spent the first 13 years of his career in the investment banking industry with Merrill Lynch & Co. and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, with a focus on equity and high yield financings and M&A.

John has more than 25 years experience in investment banking, valuation, private equity and portfolio management. Prior to Techas, he managed investment portfolios at Raymond James and several private equity investments including a cabinet manufacturer (CTS Wood Designs) and a small publicly held metal bending company American Locker Group (ALGI) where he served as Chairman of the Board. He raised private capital for Internet America and participated in its IPO. John has worked for Heartland Capital Partners, a private equity fund sponsored by the Walton Family, Emerson Partners, a private equity firm focused on real estate, Eppler, Guerin and Turner, a regional investment bank, and been a portfolio manager for US Trust and Bank of Texas. He is a director of the Nimitz Foundation and has served as Chair of its Investment Committee. John teaches valuation case studies to graduate students at the Neeley School of Business at TCU.

Mark has a 30-year history of applied technical business development and entrepreneurship, capital sourcing as a FINRA registered agent, executive & technical recruiting in legacy energy through the firm he founded in 2008, Impact 20 Group, developing a methodology to source, vet, and onboard qualified targets. Prior to executive recruiting, he worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in corporate & operational finance in Mexico City, Bethesda and Dallas. After receiving his engineering degree, he became the Technical Manager of EMSCOR, a manufacturer of rack & pinion industrial elevators in Houston. He directed a series of entrepreneurial ventures in Budapest, Hungary and Washington, DC, prior to accepting an executive role with the US public internet firm, Intermost Corporation in Shenzhen, China. Most recently, Mark has pursued hundreds of clean energy technology start-ups, performing technical and economic evaluations as to their market potential.
